BIO
IBIO
An aspiring composer and musician, Sandon writes contemporary classical music for wind ensembles and chamber groups of various sizes. His work is inspired by Granger, Vaughan Williams, Ravel, Holst, Persichetti and his own personal life experiences.
Sandon's principal instrument is bass clarinet, but he also plays clarinet, alto clarinet, soprano, tenor and baritone saxophone, guitar, mandolin and harmonica.
Currently a senior at Spanish River High School in Boca Raton, Florida, Sandon has made music the focus of many of his extra curricular activities. He is the Lead Band Librarian and participates in the pit orchestra of the school's theater productions every year. He, his brother and friends also jam in The Unnamed Ensemble, playing Sandon's original songs, as well as classic rock tunes.

Flourish Against the Doldrums
(Written November - December of 2011)
Something is growing,
Even though its seed was placed in gray earth.
And the sky neither rains nor shines.
Nothing sprouts for miles.
But there is a Flourish Against The Doldrums.

Composition VII (Written Nov 2010 - Jan 2011)
Comprised of 24 concepts (marked with Roman Numerals) that snapshot a stream of thoughts. Several passages have specific concepts, influences, moods, or moments associated to them. They range from chaos to calm, some are looming and others rise to triumph.

Tribute to Conflict (Written August 2011)
Not all music is written so that the listener can feel happy, at ease, comfortable, or in any way good. Making music that is totally approachable has often set composers, myself included, back from writing about certain themes. As I recently discovered there is a reason that all notes don’t fit with each other.
