About Us...
Paul and Rachael Adams meet
in 2006 in Pemba, Mozambique
with Iris ministries. Two and a
half years later they married and
are now on their journey back
to full time missions. Just accepted on staff with YWAM Kona they plan their journey to Hawaii to train and take a team of young people from around the world to Asia. To learn more please check out our blog on our "tracking us" page!
Why Rechabite Ministries
Both feeling a call to be set apart and depending completely on the provision of the Lord, the Adams decided to name the ministry "Rechabite Ministry". The Rechabite's were obedient to their father's call to be set apart and not make a home for themselves, but to live as nomads and only live in tents. To the Adams, this speaks of their vision to not settle in one place but to reach all the unreached. It also speaks to them of not trusting in their own means and building their own kingdom, but completely relying on the Lord for their direction and provision. The tent also has representedin the old testament, the meeting place with the Lord and the place where His presence rested. We are here at YWAM-Kona and leaving for china in a month and a half. Our outreach has been payed for (praise Jesus) but we could use a little more since we are planing to stay a while. We are also trying to add an addition to our family!!! The DTS is going amazing and we are so excited to see what God is going to do next. We have oppurtunity to get into some restricted places in Asia while we are on our journey and have seen the hand of Jesus already in making a way for us. We are wanting to see Asia as a whole set ablaze with the power and love of Jesus.
