A charming original Victorian watercolour of an Arcadian landscape depicting a young Woodland Fairy playing the flute walking through woodlands, with a background of trees and meadows in full summer foliage.
Frederick J Knowles (1874-1934) is a well exhibited landscape and figural Victorian artist. He exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1894-1900 and is present in many private and public collections.
