About
Qixuan is a twenty year old Singaporean illustrator/designer currently studying in the school of Art, Design and Media, NTU. Although better known as a budding and passionate illustrator, she also dabbles in publication design, designing publicity materials and branding. Museum of Misfits Installation, 2009 Acrylic and mixed media on wood Singapore Art Museum Museum of Misfits raises important issues in our society by shedding light on the 'outcasts', the shunned and forgotten. Narrated playfully with life sized character paintings and poems, Museum of Misfits clinched the Gold award in the annual Singapore Youth Festival.
Noise Singapore
Missing Cat Acrylic on paper, 2010 Noise Singapore Exhibition 2011 Missing Cat is not about just a missing cat, but rather an illustration that through the opened windows of two complete strangers, tell the tale of relationships, loss and comfort. Missing Cat was selected to be exhibited at the Noise Singapore Exhibition 2011.
ADM Grad Show 2011
ADM Grad Show 2011 A series of works were selected and exhibited at the ADM Grad Show 2011, from posters, handmade books to paper sculptures. From top to bottom: Grey/ Typography Photocollage/ Trail Blazer (Inspired by Tadanori Yokoo)/ A Memento/ Ephemera/ Haiku book
Illustrating has always been my passion, and I do it for both projects and in my own free time. Adopting a versatile style with different mediums, ranging from acrylics to oil and watercolor, my illustrations sport different looks and feel.
