About The Queen
As an avid fan of live music, I created QueenOfTheScene.com in the late 90's as an outlet for local bands to post shows and discuss everything happening in the South Florida local music scene. I ran the website as an anonymous supporter until 2007 when I created FemmeFest- A festival featuring 30 local bands with female musicians on 4 stages with vendors, artists, a drum circle and much more. This was the start of what would become my staple formula for the next 5 years: Multiple bands of all genres on multiple stages in a festival-like atmosphere, to give people more bang for their buck and create more hype within the local music community. I hosted a monthly showcase of live bands and comedians for 2 years called "Queen's Royal Thursdays". I've done many fundraisers and events for Charities as well. I've now organized over 80 festivals, sometimes 2 or 3 a month with various themes at venues from West Palm to Key Largo, giving hundreds of bands a shot to rock South Florida.
