Year-Round Shelter Program
Since 1989 New Image Emergency Shelter for the Homeless has provided shelter, housing placement & job search assistance, hot meals, and warm beds to thousands of homeless inviduals and families throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area. Over the years, our comprehensive programs have grown and expanded, offering a computer learning center, full on-site library for all clients, mail service, case management and even program placement. Serving L.A.'s growing homeless population has always been our goal, especially in these hard economic times, and now our focus is more clear than ever... Helping those who have fallen on hard times in the rough transition back into permanent housing and stable living.
We are open to all adults (18+), male & female, and run on a first come, first served basis. We have a total of 600 shelter beds available to for homeless clients 7 nights a week, in addition to compliementary Dinner and Breakfast catered on-site for all clients. As it is first come, first served, early arrival is suggested. We begin sign-in at approximately 3:30PM everyday so arrival at this time is best for guaranteed entrance into the shelter.
Additionally, there are 15 Case Managers who provide case management services, and a complete Medical Team that provides on-site medical services and free prescription care. Through case management services, the homeless can secure housing, jobs, and assistance with entitlement programs.

Case Management
On-site Case Managers are available for appointments 5 days a week at the shelter. The main goal of our program is transitioning our homeless population into permanent housing, and our case managers can offer assistance catered to the individuals needs and goals.
Mail Service
Clients can recieve mail at the shelter and now have a mailing address for jobs, and contact w family, bills, etc.
Computer Learning Center
Job Resources are available as well as resume assistance and much more. Clients can utilize the power of the web to help find a job or housing.
24-Hour Security
Our security is on-site 24/7 to ensure safety of all clients and ensure no weapons or drugs are allowed inside.
Dress for Success clothing services
We realize potential employers may emphasize appaearance and offer free clothing services to all our clients.
More Services
Medical Evaluations
Doctors from General Medicine to Mental Health come into the shelter to conduct weekly evaluations for all our clients in need of medical attention or physicals.
Entertainment Centers
Our Year Round Shelter has four entertainment centers with TV's, board games, cards, etc. to make the clients stay a more pleasant one. We have two TV's dedicated to Spanish langauge programming as well.

New Image Gets a New Look!
A Generous Donation by Cooper Paint allows New Image's Year Round Shelter Program to recieve a full New Paint Job on the interior of the facilities! Many volunteers and Cooper Employees banded together along with free paint provided by Cooper, to give the shelter a completely new look! Many thanks to all who particpated in this much needed project. We are forever grateful.
