GET TO KNOW US
Project Stepping Stone provides temporary housing to families with children in order to help encourage the transition from homelessness into a stable living environment. It includes daytime childcare, all amenities (food, shelter, etc.), and job placement through our case management program. This Transitional Housing Program, unlike most others in Southern California, accepts male head of households.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
1. Twenty-four (24) or 100% of all families will receive a Family Case Plan, within one week of program entry.
2. Eighteen (18) or 75% of the 24 families, who are eligible, will obtain increased income from mainstream entitlement programs, and/or employment, prior to exiting the program.
3. Twenty-two (22) or 90% of 24 families who are placed into permanent housing will remain in housing for a minimum of nine (9) months.
LIVE-IN CASE MANAGEMENT
Each client receives personal consultation on-site to help aid in needs specific to each family such as job/career placement, housing search assistance & referrals, transportation to and from work, and much much more. At Stepping Stone, our job is not done until each family that enters our program, has made a solid transition into independent, secure living for themselves and their children.
TRANSITIONAL HOUSING
Project Stepping Stone provides homeless families with children a place to call home, in addition to a full-service kitchen, live-in staff, entertainment center, computers with internet access and many more amenities. Our ulitmate goal is to make the transition to permanent housing as painless as possible for our families.
CHILD DAY CARE
Project Stepping Stone features complimentary on-site daycare service to all our qualified clients. With a full playground, computer learning center, and experienced staff - parents will not have to worry about the well-being of their children while job searching, attending workshops and overall working towards the transition into permanent, stable living conditions.
