Our overall goal is to utilize better incentives and making the public aware of these incentives. The current incentives will not drive the average person to make the upgrade.
Property Tax Exemptions and State Rebates
-Indiana must follow suit and offer state rebates like states in northeast so it can be feasible for homeowners to upgrade. -With the economy in shambles, very few people can afford to upgrade to "green" electricity with the small incentives Indiana offers. -Must create incentives for homebuilders so new homes are as energy efficient as we can make them. These incentives should be less than those offered to homeowners because they can afford it. -Incentives need to give options. There are many options out there for renewables and energy efficiency and homeowners should get rebates on any of them (Solar power, wind power, geothermal etc.)
