WE ARE A GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS IN BENIN AND IN THE UNITED STATES WHO WISH TO BE OF CONSTRUCTIVE SERVICE TO THE PROMOTION OF GIRLS' EMPOWERMENT & EDUCATION IN BENIN.

Stephanie began the project with the social center in
Cobly, Benin during her service in the Peace Corps 2005-2007.

Joseph is the liason beteween project volunteers on-site, project benficiaries, and Project Nadaate-USA.
First, we identify the problem-- the community of Cobly identified that girls' education was important to them.
Then, we identify the girls who are orphans and extend scholarships to study in primary school.
Next, we create a study center to meet the needs of primary school students based on the girls' experience.
Finally, we engage volunteers to expand the project's reach of service.
Scholarships for Girls:

-monitor school progress
Primary school level
community resource center:
-primary school texts
-dictionaries
-desks and tables for study
-lighting
-on-site tutors
-meals
-music lessons on weekends
