‘It is an injustice to deprive women of the possibility of theological education.’ Meeting at the International Study Centre, Canterbury, England, 23 February – 2 March 2009, as a group of about 35 Anglican women theological educators, we received the challenge that our task was to help ‘change the world’.
A gathering of East Asian Anglican theological educators has taken place at Trinity Theological College, Singapore, 11-13 November 2008. Co-sponsored by TEAC (Theological Education in the Anglican Communion) and CSCA (the Centre for the Study of Christianity in Asia)
The Inter-Anglican Theological and Doctrinal Commission met between Monday, 10 September and Sunday, 16 September in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Commission is grateful for the warmth of the welcome it received from Bishop Ng Moon Hing, Bishop of the Diocese of West Malaysia, and the efficient help given by the clergy and staff of the Diocese who were responsible for much of the local organisation in preparation for the Commission’s meeting.
As part of its commitment to helping to strengthen Anglican theological education on a regional basis, TEAC, the Primates Working Party on Theological Education, is pleased to announce that three part-time Regional Associates have been appointed to work with and alongside TEAC's Secretary, Clare Amos.
Members of the TEAC (Theological Education for the Anglican Communion) Working Group held a consultation in Singapore 10-16 May 2007, to explore 'The Anglican Way in theological education'. Participants in the consultation included members of TEAC's Steering Group and Anglican Way Target Group, as well as a number of other people who brought particular expertise and helpful cross-links to the process.'The meeting was honoured with the presence and contributions of Archbishop Rowan Williams for two days of its discussions.
The Inter-Anglican Theological and Doctrinal Commission met between Monday, September 4th September and Sunday, 10th September at St Julian's Retreat Centre, Limuru...The work of the Commission concentrated on three areas: continuation of the work of the Communion Study on which the Commission has been working since its formation in 2001, reflection on the proposal for an Anglican Covenant, and preparation for the 2008 Lambeth Conference
Episcopal Church Women (ECW) members hope to "Grow in Grace" at their 46th triennial meeting, which runs July 8-17, concurrently with the 76th General Convention, in Anaheim, California.
The Episcopal Church's Executive Council has asked General Convention deputations and their bishops to study and comment on the latest draft of a proposed Anglican covenant.
