He has been a champion for appropriate use of antibiotics, addressing health care disparities, and electronic prescribing adoption. Philip received his Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California. He has been active with the school of Pharmacy as an adjunct assistant professor and served on the QSAD Board.. He teaches at the U.S.C. School of Policy, Planning and Development as a guest lecturer. He is a member of the California Pharmacists Association and holds the office of Speaker of the House of Delegates and has served as chair of the Editorial Review Committee for the California Pharmacist and House of Delegates Reference Committee Chair. He serves as an advisor to the California Medical Association Foundation on projects related to antibiotic resistance and ethnic health disparities.
