Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a student-centered learning environment that instills high academic standards and expectations for success through design.
History
Progreso High is relatively a young campus as compared to other high schools in the Rio Grande Valley. Our first graduating class was in 1986-87. Before then, our students where given a choice to graduate from Weslaco High or Mercedes High.
Now, with over 500 students in the high school campus, Progreso High serves as a bridge to higher education with a successful Early College Academy program. Progreso High School provides talented, dedicated, and highly qualified instructors in order to better service our growing community. With so much talent amongst our student body, there's no doubt that Progreso High (PHS) and Progreso High Early College Academy (PHECA) are both "A College and Career Ready High School."
