After a decade in the trenches of photojournalism, I came to realize that there are moments in life that define our humanity. There's a common thread that binds us all together, but our experiences are dramatically unique. I hunt those idiosyncrasies, capture them, treasure them. I hope you like what you see....

About me
In 1998 I graduated from the University of Montana and set off in the world to be a newspaper photographer. A few years later, I found myself among some of the best when I was hired as a staff photographer for the Inland Valley bureau of the Los Angeles Times. I went on to become the editor of two newspapers in the Pacific Northwest, but I have never, ever put down my camera.
