What defines Phil Roberts as a photographer? Currently residing in the blogosphere under the psuedonym Optical Thrombosis - this tells you what you need to know - I'm the clot behind the lens!Fascinated by cameras and photography from a young age, my meagre talents were nurtured from boyhood and fulfilled in my formative years. Despising 'snapshots' I studied the work of great masters old and new in the world of photography and seek to develop my own vision of the world around me.Now as a maturer photographer I shoot less and look more. Remembering Cartier-Bresson's 'decisive moment', some of my best work has been in the nick of time, blink and I would have missed the moment. I don't pretend to be the worlds greatest photographer - we are always learning and humility goes a long way in this pursuit.I don't take photos for the adulation of others - I take them because they give me pleasure.Enjoy!
