WELCOME to our website
Avid Diva came into being in July 2008 at the album launch of Lucys debut album, the pair having met once before performed a duet and so the seed was sown. Their love of performing musical theatre threw them together to create this sensational new act.
Avid Diva is a fully self contained trio, Manny Lipman and Lucy Ward supply stunning vocals and they are backed up by the ever charming Mr Pete Faint on piano. They cover a vast range of musical theatre repertoire from classic Rogers and Hammerstein and Cole Porter to the innovative modern sounds of Jason Robert Brown and Stephen Schwartz. The musical numbers are seamlessly linked together with key scenes from the shows and the sharing of personal experiences, thoughts and feelings, creating a musical theatre extravaganza, celebrating the musical milestones of the last 50 years.
Avid Diva will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride propelled by their honest love and admiration for the ever growing world of musical theatre.

Manny was born in Leeds and has been performing on the stage since the age of 9. She studied music and drama at the University of Central Lancashire and went on to train professionally in Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting.
Since leaving GSA, Manny took the lead role in a new musical "Sunsets and Mornings" (The Castle Theatre, Wellingborough) and has performed in the Christmas spectacular "Rock Around the Christmas Tree" (London Tour).
Manny is lucky enough to have performed in the longest running comedy sketch show on the fringe circuit, "Newsrevue" (The Canal Café Theatre, Maida Vale) and has also been a regular performer for some years in the comedy sketch show "The Treason Show" in the South Wests largest comedy venue (Komedia, Brighton).

Manny is privileged to have played the lead role of Woman 1 in the European Premiere of the musical revue "Listen to my Heart: The Songs of David Friedman" (The Marlborough Theatre, Brighton) which was then transferred to The Brockley Jack Theatre in London for an extended run.
Manny is also an accomplished voice over artist and can be heard in over 30 episodes of CITV's "The Amazing Adrenalini Brothers" (Pesky Ltd), which was awarded a BAFTA in November 2006.
