Janna Fassaert was born in Naarden, The Netherlands .
When she was eight years old she moved with her family to South Africa where she first embraced her passion for acting. After seeing Gone with the Wind and wanting to live that fairytale life in the movies, it became her Raison d'être .
At age fourteen, her family returned to The Netherlands where she was one of twelve, out of 700 who auditioned, to be selected to attend the prestigious Dutch Theatre School in Maastricht.
In Holland she starred in the Golden Globe Award winning television show Bitches, Ugly Betty and many movies and TV shows. Janna met famed acting coach Ivana Chubbuck (Brad Pitt, Charlize Theron, Halle Berry, James Franco etc), in Amsterdam, and Ivana was so impressed with Janas talent that she invited her to come to Los Angeles and join her master-class.
Success found Janna quickly. She co-starred in the box office hit Couples Retreat opposite Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau, Malin Akerman and Jason Bateman. Janna landed the lead of marine biologist Skylar Shane in the new action-packed adventure film Amphibious 3D. Many television shows and modelling jobs followed.
Janna has a big heart for those in need and stepped behind the camera shooting a documentary in what was once her childhood homeland, South Africa: Never Neverland. Its about raising awareness and hope for the orphans of Swaziland, due to the AIDS crisis, for the production company Liquid World Wide
She currently has the difficult choice of having two movies premièring on the same day on the opposite sides of the world, a very long red carpet to walk. Finding North, with Justine Bateman and Craig Bierko, created by Illeana Douglas, In Hollywood and the sequel to the Dutch hit movie, All Stars 2, Old Stars in Amsterdam!
