Happy New Year Everyone!!!
84 Scrambler
Bead Blast Cabinet
This gorgeous Scrambler is in for a transmission and a transfer case overhaul. This beauty has a Cummins 4BT diesel, an NV4500 5 spd, and a dana 300 transfercase. We installed the 1 ton axles, gears, and lockers about a year ago and now it needs a little more TLC.
I found this beauty on Craigslist and made a trip to southern Connecticut to purchase this addition to the shop. This cabinet will recycle the material used to remove paint and rust from parts, and filter out the dust as well creating a clean piece of steel in a matter of a few minutes!
04 Green TJ
We have this nicely equipped TJ here for the addition of some rear Hi-line fenders, complete with LED brake and reverse lights to round off the look. This addition of the rear will complete the look, already started with the front Hi-line fenders.
Here is the mold for the left side front. The mold is made with the same basics of construction as the finished parts. You can see the bright orange gel-coat finish.
Inner Fender Prototype
We started this project a while ago to offer fiberglass inner fenders for our customers. Everyone offers hi line fenders, however no other company offers a decent inner fender. We have been making our inners from steel but decided that fiberglass is probably the way to go for its strength and light weight. In this picture you can see the plugs or buck that we use to create the molds from. These are freshly primed and need a coat of paint before we can create the mold from them.
Here is the finished product! Now we need to get going on the right hand side! This is the first piece off from our left side mold.
ORANGE FC
We finally finished this Jeep workhorse. The owner should be very happy with how this one turned out!
The last project this week is this racer that we finished installing a new seat.
We also fixed issues with the wiring, and cooling systems. Once those were done, we also installed new guages, and some warning lights to go along with them making the drivers life a lot easier. Once all else is finished up we will do a chassis setup to get it ready for the track and send it off to the paint shop for a fresh color scheme for the 2012 season.
