It’ll charm your wool socks off!
(Augusta, MI) On June 2 the Barn Theatre opens its 64th season with the charming ice fishing musical GUYS ON ICE which will play through June 14.
GUYS ON ICE introduces us to long-time pals Marvin (played by Eric Parker) and Lloyd (played by Eric Petersen) in their ice shanty keeping warm with a mutual appreciation for good bait, cold beer and the Green Bay Packers as they sing about life, love and the one that got away. Awaiting his moment of glory on a cable TV fishing show, Marvin shares secrets of his life on “da’ lake” with Lloyd who ponders a marital tension over his adamant desire that he and his wife spend their anniversary at a Packers football game. The third character, Ernie “da Moocher,” (played by Steven Lee Burright) spends the show yearning for what the two have (in this case, mainly their Leinenkugel Beer).
GUYS ON ICE is directed by Dusty Reeds. The musical director is John Jay Espino. Staging/Choreography is by Kevin Field. Steven Lee Burright is the Scenic Designer, and Michael Wilson Morgan is the Costume Designer. Garrylee McCormick is the Hair/Wig Designer. Properties are designed by James B. Knox and Lights are designed by Aaron Siegmann. Elizabeth Robson is the Sound Designer. Technical Direction is by Fred Gillette.
