I graduated from The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences in Tempe, AZ in 2000 and went on to intern with producer Brian McTernan (Strike Anywhere, Coheed & Cambria, Thrice etc...) at Salad Days in Baltimore, MD before relocating to Richmond, VA to continue my engineering career at Sound of Music. I assisted on several sessions including Carbon Leafs Indian Summer with producer John Morand (Black Crowes, Cracker, Hanson, Sixer, Joan Osborne etc...) and Sparky's Flaw aka Parachute as well as working with noted producers Alan Weatherhead and Brian Paulson (Wilco, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Avail).

I then spent most of 2004 playing guitar and touring with Richmond rock band River City High (Doghouse/MCA Records). We circled the country a few times and even performed live on MTV from their Times Square Studios as well as hosting their rock video show for a week along side VJ Jim Shearer.

After my stint with RCH I acquired some gear and started my own studio, Detached Sound, which I continue operate for out of a converted detached garage. I've made records for Billy The Kid, The Riot Before, The Rulers, Conshafter, Halflit Halo, The Battle of Me, Long Arms, Searching For Timothy, The Jim Ivins Band, Goldrush, Steelshot and tons more.
