Gourds, a durable versatile, natural canvas for the artist is my favorite treasure from the earth.
I am an illustrator by degree and often work on children’s books and my own works of fancy and fiction but for a while in college I was tempted away from my canvas and computer by sculpture and although I don't get to form there shapes with mud I love the three dimensional characteristics of the gourd and am always seeking new ways to make it use full, beautiful, bright and beneficial.
