Belle Epoque A Fusion Bellydance Event with Daniela
Join us March 10-11, 2012 in beautiful Pensacola, Florida for a 2 day, 3 class workshop with one of South Florida's leading Fusion Bellydancers, Daniela.
From slow, ooozy movements to up-beat Vintage Fusion, Daniela will teach us how to take concepts from a different time, a "beautiful era", and incorporate them into modern Bellydance.
All classes will be geared toward all levels of Bellydance, so beginning students to advanced, this is not a workshop to miss!
CLASSES Classes
Ooooz A workshop focusing on super slow, slinky and sensual movement. Time to get ooey gooey! This class is focused on isolating your body so that you can move in mysterious ways. Dancing excruciatingly slow is challenging because it’s all about muscle control! Learn to ooze and slide with feminine grace! But there is a fine line between sensual and sexual, so join Daniela and work on expressing your feminine side with confidence, class and elegance.
All Levels Welcome.
Jazzy Do you love old looks and sounds? Explore the vintage world with Daniela in this fusion combos class. Put your slow & slinky and poppin & lockin belly dance techniques to use by exploring various music and styles from different eras. Get confidence in meshing an old eastern dance with old western music while staying true to bellydance. We will be focusing on jazz music from different eras in the early 1900’s and discuss history and how to create a vintage look.
All Level's Welcome.
Choreo In this choreography workshop you will be working on a layering technique within a choreography.
Great for the dancer who enjoys fun and upbeat music!

Show Show
Our show will be held at Gull Point Community Center. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the show wll start at 7:00pm. We will have two sets, so space is limited. If you would like to perform in the show, we are requiring that you register for at least ONE class. The show is now open to all levels, so make sure you reserve your spot if you would like to dance! Please fill out the Dancer Registration form and send it in.
Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door for $12. Dancers will not need to purchase a ticket.

About Daniela About Daniela
Daniela is an innovative fusion bellydance artist mixing delicate feminine sensibilities with an impressive display of core strength and muscle isolation. She maintains the fluidity and grace of traditional belly dance while introducing an experimental fusion flair. Her unique style is influenced by various dances such as Flamenco, Tango, Modern and Hip Hop. Daniela was born in Venezuela to Belgian parents and raised in the United States, so it is only natural that she draws her inspiration from around the world.
At 18 years of age, she began her training in Traditional Egyptian and American Cabaret styles of bellydance, traveling as far as Egypt to study and perform with some of the world's greatest dancers. However, after seeing Rachel Brice perform in 2006 she fell in love with the beauty of Tribal Fusion Bellydance. Then she immediately began expanding her practice and began the experimental journey of Tribal Fusion Bellydance. After years of dedication and passion for the art form, she is now internationally known for a uniquely feminine, imaginative, and thoroughly captivating fusion style.
When she's not wowing a crowd, Daniela is busy sharing her love of the dance with others. Because of her fun yet challenging teaching style, she is a highly sought after instructor. She has taught various workshops in the US and also Internationally in places like Italy, Spain, Holland and Russia. Currently she resides and teaches in Boynton Beach, FL and is the founder and director of Hip-Notic Dance Company (a student troupe) and Fleur De Lys Dance Company (her professional troupe). She also continues to study regularly with her mentors including Rachel Brice, Bozenka, Jill Parker, Zoe Jakes, Amy Sigil and Suhaila Salimpour.
