ABOUT THE WORK
Kastner explores the limitations of social norms and corruption throughout society. The freedom that is so much a part of youth is juxtaposed in her work with the emergence of degeneracy of innocence that comes when entering adulthood. A child's wide-eyed views of the world can be seriously manipulated and abused. The dissection into this manipulation is the core of Kastner's work.
