D.I.C.E. (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Summit is an annual multi-day gathering of video game executives held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Established in 2002 by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, the conference is host to the annual Entertainment Software Association's Interactive Achievement Awards.
The conference differs from other conferences in the industry in its emphasis on the business and production end of the industry, with a focus on trends and innovations in video game design. One aspect of what makes ODG unique is our full suite customer presentation. Every product presentation includes market analysis, 2D renderings of the design, forecasted project expenses and a complete production bill of materials, including total units sold for complete return on investment.
Upon approval of the project, ODG assembles computer precise 3D solid models of the final product. These models are our first step toward developing the production tooling and analyzing the components for fit and function before tools are started.
ODG uses computer modeling software to perform detailed motion studies, thermal analysis, magnetic property evaluation, etc. We create engineering prototypes based on our data and assemble all components to verify the design.
