Who We Are
OSC company, also known in full as Overseas Rayon Industrial Ltd Co., was established in 1973 as one of Thailand's first hosiery manufacturer to specialize in manufacturing socks. Since then, we have grown to become a leading local and global supplier of superior quality socks, operating with a 22,400 square meters plant, two sales offices and employing over 200 skilled employees. All advanced machinery and facilities are operated and maintained by experience personnel in the respective production departments. We manufacture sport socks as our main products. Approximately 25% of our finished goods goes overseas, whereas some 75% are being distributed locally. Each year, our production line can produce more than 10 million pairs of socks, which are manufactured in accordance with the approvals of Thai Labor Standard TLS 8001.

The Sock Industry
The textile industry is one of the leading industries in the Thailand. It was in fact the biggest industry until the electronic industry became Thailand biggest moneymaker. However the textile industry remains this country’s second largest sources income. A significant portion of this revenue is generated by the production of socks.
The manufacturers of socks in Thailand have been produced of socks for more than 30 years. During this time they have witnessed a steady expansion of the sock making industry around the world, which has resulted in increased competition and less profits. In order to survive in such a competitive industry, it is critical for Thailand socks maker to develop more effective machinery capable of producing more socks and more effective operation,which enable the plant to be run for less cost. Thus, Thailand has been able to sustain competitiveness and maintain its position as a leading producer of socks in the world.
What We Do
Knitting
All socks are made on circular knitting machines. The knitting machine needles are mounted on a single cylinder (for flat knits) or a double cylinder (for ribs). As the cylinder turns, the needles interlock loops of yarn, beginning at the top and working towards the toe. When socks come off the knitting machine, the toe is open, but otherwise it looks like a complete sock.
Toe Linkings
After the individual pieces are turned inside out and inspected for defects, the toe of the sock is closed or seamed on a separate machine.
Boarding Workshop
In boarding, socks are stretched dry or moist over flat metal or wooden forms of the desired shape and size. Heat is applied which gives the sock its shape, form, and a smooth appearance.
Quality Controls
Quality controls ensures all products meet client's specification through series of inspections. Visual inspection is used to once again check for any defects in the sock.
Packaging
In packaging, the socks are paired and placed in the appropriate type of packaging. Packaging may consist of bags, hang tags, adhesive bands, cardboard inserts, cardboard backing, stickers, and labels.
Sales Office
Our two sales offices are based in Bangkok. 10 staff are ready to assist all potential and existing customers. It opens Monday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm.

Natural Fibers
Cotton
Cotton is comfortable with a soft hand, absorbs moisture from the foot and has good color retention & stretch.
Mercerized Cotton
It is cotton that is treated to give higher luster and a softer hand given its richer colors than regular cotton.
Wool
Wool is the soft, curly hair of sheep that is spun into yarn. Wool is warm, sturdy, and durable. It has a crisp, resilient hand and excellent insulating properties, even when wet.
Synthetic Fibers
Acrylic
This man-made fiber is generally warm & light weight, and is used in casual, dress, and athletic socks. Acrylic keeps its shape well and good for its resilience, softness, easy care, minimal shrinkage, rich coloration and the ability to wick sweat away from the foot.
Polyester
Polyester is a man-made fiber that is abrasion resistant has excellent wash-ability. It is really heat-settable. It is used in men & women's sports and dress socks.
Nylon
Nylon is the first and oldest of the true synthetics. This fiber is famous for its strength, abrasion resistance, dimension stability, soft hand, elasticity and easy washing characteristics.
Spandex (Elastane)
Spandex is a generic term denoting a man-made elastomeric fiber used in place of a rubber. It can stretch to more than five times its relaxed strength and recovered. It provides better size ranges, improved fit and better comfort.

Choices in Style
Socks are an apparel bargain that generally fit in to different categories depending on consumer’s need. Socks are designed, priced and packaged for virtually every one. Any specification regarding size, weight, color, and yarn quality of socks can be implemented as desired by the clients. Sizes available are men, ladies, youth, toddlers.
Casual Style - With exception of dress and athletic socks, casual socks describes most men's and all women's socks.
Sports/ Athletic & Outdoor Style -These are specially designed for sports: football, tennis, golf, etc.
Dress/ Novelty Style - These are for special occasions, seasons, or novelty purpose. They may have special embellishments.
Choices in Length
Over the calf/ Knee high
These provide coverage to the top of the calf below the knee and wear well with all type of shoes. Knee-highs are fashion socks available in variety of patterns, usually worn in a colder weather with skirts & shorts.
Crew/ Work/ Boot socks
These provide coverage up to mid-calf and may be worn straight-up, cuffed or scrunched. They are available in different sizes or textures and may be modified as a work sock or boot socks.
Cuff socks
These provide coverage between the ankle and calf. They can be worn year-round especially with shorts, and wear well with all type of shoes except ladies dress.
Ankle crew/ Quarter socks
These cover the foot up to the ankle and wear best with athletic and casual shoes.
Footie/ Low cuff
These cover the foot, stopping below the ankle. They are popular in hot weather and are sometimes embellished with stripes or logo. They wear best with athletic and casual shoes.
No show socks
These are covered by a shoe for a 'no socks' look. They are popular in hot weather.
