WE ARE PLANTING THREE NEW CHURCHES!
We are working with another missionary couple, Isaac and Terry Smythia, to bring God’s HOPE to three unreached communities here in Uruguay. Our goal is to see three growing churches, each with their own buildings and national pastors, by the end of 2012. We are excited about what God has called us to do and expect to see great miracles along the way. We covet your prayers and would love to have you be part of this project with us! Uruguay is a country of about 3.5 million people. It is located in South America, tucked away just south of Brazil and east of Argentina. The weather is moderate and there are beautiful beaches to enjoy during the summer. Most of the people are of European descent so their culture often reflects that influence. Uruguayans speak Spanish, enjoy playing/watching soccer, and are well known for their "asado" - Uruguayan barbecues!

We are teaching classes at the Bible school in Montevideo. Through classroom sessions, practical ministry opportunities, chapels, and outreach, students are being prepared and empowered. Many will become pastors and church leaders, helping their communities come to know Christ.
Hope for Uruguay is the name of the campaign that God has given us for this upcoming year. We are currently preparing to plant 3 new churches here in Uruguay. By the end of 2012, we hope to not only have 3 growing churches in previously unreached communities, but to have also erected the sancturaries and have national familes pastoring the works. While this is a great leap of faith, we are working with some incredible missionaries (Isaac and Terry Smythia) and know that God has called us to do this. If you feel like bringing hope to three unreached communities, please let us know. We'd love for you to be part of our team!
Uruguayans LOVE soccer! (A little trivia: Uruguay won the first World Cup in 1930, and again in 1950). We are using the sport to reach out to many people by doing camps, clinics, and just playing in the park. We hope that through these events, not only will people have fun playing soccer, but most importantly they will start a relationshp with Jesus!

As missionaries, our desire is to share the message of Jesus Christ with the people of Uruguay. We are working to train new pastors at the Bible School, planting new churches, and reaching out to people using sports evangelism. This is only possible with the help of churches and individuals who partner with us. Thank you to those who have already given. It is becaue of you many lives will be changed!
