finding LIFE in ADVENTURE
For one year, Jill and her family will be adding a new challenge to their adventures. Find 5 living creatures on every adventure they embark on. The goal is to show families how to stay active and learn about nature in a fun way.
The rules are simple. No creature found twice and not the first 5 plants they see. The goal is to take a good look around and see the life that exsists around us. Living creatures include plants, animals, fungus, and micro-organisms.
Their living creature list will be update regularly. A quick note to identify and share some facts about their find plus where and when it was found. What can you find? Compare your finds with "The List" or follow their discoveries on Facebook.
Every adventure has a story and for one year our adventures tell a story of life. While hiking we discover old life in ancient forests. Walking along Vancouver Island shorelines we witness life being created during the herring spawn. Even while snowshoeing we are aware of the birds that survive and thrive in sub alpine regions. Life as tiny as a spider and life as large as California Sea Lions.
Just when we think we have seen it all, we are once again amazed with the life around us. It has made me and my entire family see the world through a new set of eyes. I have always loved adventure, exploring new places and being active with my family and finding LIFE in ADVENTURE makes it all happen.
