About the FILM
Cookies & Cream is a character piece that centers on Carmen (Jace Nicole), a racially mixed single mother, who maintains an adult entertainment job in order to take care of her daughter and herself.
Director's BIO
Princeton E. Holt has written and directed several projects since graduating from the New YorkFilmAcademy in 2000 and launching the company. They include commercials for Verizon Wireless and music videos for Boston-based rock group Diatribal Revenge. In 2005, he wrote and directed Phish; to date the short film has garnered him Official Selection at various film festivals including the National Black Media Conference Film Festival in Philadelphia. Princeton, along with Phish, has received write-ups in the New Jersey-based newspaper The Star Ledger, as well as others. He also appeared on the Manhattan-based TV show Urban Movie Review, where the film was well reviewed as well as featured on the show. Cookies & Cream is his first feature length film. His second feature, The Butterfly Chasers, is currently in development. Princeton is represented in NYC by Gregory A. Thomson Esq.
About the PRODUCTION
On January 18, 2008, we began production on our first feature length narrative film, Cookies & Cream. Principle photography on the film lasted 21 days. Production on the film wrapped on February 10th, 2008, at 4:30 am. The film was shot in New York City, Brooklyn, New York, as well as in Hoboken and Linden, NJ. One early and significant scene was shot at Bubbys Pie Company overlooking the Manhattan skyline. This location also was used in Spike Lees first feature film Shes Gotta Have It one of the directors favorite filmmakers. Cookies & Cream also features a first time dramatic performance from popular comedian Ardie Fuqua from HBOs Bad Boyz of Comedy.
