I am a highly motivated individual who performs well when working in a team or individually. Adaptability comes natural to me. Positive criticism is always welcome in my professional life and change comes naturally when it happens. I am always determine to finish a task by staying positive and by thinking critically until the end. Lastly, I am open to new ideas when necessarily.
During March and April of 2011, Omar Roa served as a volunteer recruiter/coordinator for the For Petes Sake Walk, which was held at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. At 1200 participants and 100 volunteers, this was the largest benefit event For Petes Sake has organized, and volunteers were a key part of our success.
Omar was a very effective recruiter, securing Sunday morning commitments from more than 20 of his 53 colleagues at The Philadelphia Center. Throughout the planning process, Omar was proactive in his communications and promptly replied when I had a question, and this was very helpful as I made volunteer assignments on a rolling basis.
On the day of the walk itself, Omar served in two volunteer roles personally, and his team from The Philadelphia Center provided great service while assuming responsibilities throughout the event. Omar is capable, enthusiastic, and genuine, and I would welcome the opportunity to work with him again on a volunteer or professional basis. Im also glad that thanks to Omars efforts For Petes sake has The Philadelphia Center as a new and valued partner.
