In 2009 Lily was admitted into Elmhurst Dance School on a full scholarship, touring with the Birmingham Royal Ballet Company. Also in 2009 Ben was audtioned for Mid-Associates at the Royal Ballet School and was offered a coveted place at White Lodge, performing at Covent Garden. ContactPage 2About About Primo BalletoWe are the UK's premier regional ballet school having established in 2003, and now operational in Cheshire and Monmouthshire, with premises at ACE Academy of Dance in Sandbach and Mulberry House in Abergavenny. We are ambitious and have plans to expand through out the UK as well as establish a residential ballet school. We welcome partnerships, especially driven by the community, believing in private, public and community cohesive models of success. Our aim is to teach the philisophy of ballet to young dancers and passionately believe in the key messages and values this most purest of art forms has to offer us all.Philosophy Our PhilosophyWe created Primo Balletto to give young ballet dancers the opportunity to perform on stage and gain the necessary experience required to go on to a possible career in a professional ballet company. The young dancers are chosen by audition and then cast into challenging roles. The cast are then expected to commit to 12 rehearsals where they are taught their roles and experience company class. They are encouraged to be independent and help others. They are a testament to their local dance teachers who we involve in this amazing experience. We expect the students to rehearse alongside their teacher any new and challenging steps which they may never have encountered before! Students learn how to behave on and off stage and are encouraged to help and mentor each other.Artistic Director Angela Evington RAD RTS (artistic director)Angela started ballet at the age of 10, attending "The Academy of Ballet " in Edinburgh under Joan Tucker before joining the Scottish Ballet Company under their associate programme at 15. One year later she moved to "Theatre School of Dance and Drama" in Edinburgh training under Anna du Boisson. Joining the Scottish Ballet at 17, she went on to perform professionally The Nutcracker, Giselle, Napoli, Cinderella, Orfeo, Tales of Hoffman, La Sylphide and as the Russian Princess in Swan Lake. She founded ACE Academy of Dance in 1987, eventually forming Cheshire Youth Ballet in 2003. Quite simply, ballet is her life, her passion, and the essence of what she lives for.
