Of Moths and Stars performed at Clockenflap Music Festival in 2010 and went onto release their Debut EP 'Polyphonic Rust later that year. The Indie Brit-Pop inspired duo have represented the English music scene in Hong Kong, Macau, Cambodia and New Zealand on a very slow but prolific world tour. During interviews they are constantly asked the meaning behind Of Moths and Stars, to which they struggle to reply and often babble out something unrelated. Of Moths and Stars can be understood to represent the relationship between the moth and the flame. The moth mindlessly follows it's path, which eventually crosses with the flame and the creature immolates and spirals downward. Human's as moths and stars as grandeur - what we think will save us often burns our wings. Not a simpler, but a more humble existence is sought by Of Moths and Stars. They stare out at the world from their bubble and find it all vaguely amusing - altogether fascinating. All else is future danger.
