offroadit.co.uk is a specialist arm of Rooftents Ltd. Started in 1995 to cater for the ever growing 4x4 scene, offroadit is still the only Cornish based 4x4 driver training centre and expedition leader offering the full package of overland and off-road preparation, training, route awareness and equipment/vehicle hire.

Our current routes for 2011-2012 include Cornwall and Wales for weekend adventure-green lane driving. France and Spain for week/10 day relaxing holidays and the Pyrennes/Morroco for 14 day overland adventures.

The Pyrennes Adventure

We are helping injured soldiers to get back in the driving seat and regain some independance through overland travel.

Cornwall

Cornwall has some of the best attractions in the UK for both the thrill seekers and families. Being based here gives us vast knowledge of the area and sights on offer and Cornwall has some of the best!
Camping from Friday on remote working farm sites, we will take you around some gentle green lanes with breathtaking views in the Penwith area, including a short trip to Lands End. Sunday is all about the mud with an option of a pay and play site or a more extreme section which we use for driver training. We can also tailor your weekend for child friendly activities or relaxation time visiting some local sandy beaches.

Wales
Wales is an ideal starter for those wishing to travel further afield in the future. Starting on a Friday evening, you will enjoy 2 nights camping at select sites offering quick access to 2 of the most breathtaking green lanes Wales has to offer. This trip will help you gain confidence in your abilities and vehicle with the knowledge that offroadit's support vehicles are right there with you. The weekend is based around South/Mid Wales and finishes Sunday around 3pm allowing time to get home at a reasonable time, Bank holiday trips are also available for an extra day!

Training

Learn to drive your vehicle off-road in a safe environment with full vehicle support, hone your skills or prepare for an overland trip.
offroadit uses a designated 120 acre site covering all aspects of off-road driving. The day starts at 11am and finishes around 4pm and can be tailored to suit your individual needs to best prepare you and your vehicle.

Overland and off-roading share the same principles as most things in life-carefull planning and preparation. Here at Rospeath 4x4 Garage, we can help with both the maintanence of your vehicle but also the planning and modifying in preparation for any type of overland excursion.
From the basics of servicing and checking over for various climates to the more extreme mods required for extensive travel. For eg: electrical hookups, storage, on board water tanks, long range fuel tanks, I.C.E. roofracks and rooftents, awnings, driving lights and much more.
All the vehicles pictured on this website have been prepared in house by ourselves and therefore used by us on our various trips and overland excursions.
We also pride ourselves on 'Hattie' a purpose built Land Rover 110 which was built for Project Mobility 4x4 at our garage by volunteers and ourselves, this was a complete vehicle build from the chassis up and has audiences with the likes of HRH The Duke of York Prince Andrew at Buckingham Palace (Jan 2011) and Sir R Fiennes (July 2010) and BBC's Top Gear with Richard Hammond (May 2011).
