Our PHILOSPHY
Oceanway Sports will endeavor to emphasize 3 key objectives: SAFETY, participation over competition, and education over performance. We will strive to insure that all participants spend an equal amount of time in play. We expect coaches to maintain a safe, positive and nourishing environment for all participants. Our coaches will not be judged on their win/loss record but on their "Fun Coefficient". Above all, we will remember that this activity is for "the kids". It is our philosophy to provide a strong emphasis on the core fundamentals of football - running, blocking, tackling and passing. Teamwork, committment, work-ethic, respect and sportsmanship are strongly emphasized. Each of our participants will be better players and cheerleaders after their time with us.
The Oceanway Sports Association (OSA) is the newest member of the Greater Jacksonville Pop Warner Conference. Oceanway joined the Pop Warner family in December of 2009 and celebrated a successful inaugural season in 2010. We look forward to growing the Pop Warner Football program in the Oceanway area with the support of the community. Oceanway branched off of North Jacksonville Sports Association, which is one of the oldest Pop Warner associations in Jacksonville. Over the past few years the North Jacksonville area has grown tremendously bringing on the need for a new association in the Oceanway area.

**Dual participation is approved. Cheerleaders who wish to cheer for Pop Warner and their school may now do so. You may be a team member of a Middle School or High School cheer team and still participate in Pop Warner. You may not do any other rec league or all star league. Must be a school team.

ATTENTION!! LAST REGISTRATION DATE IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, JUNE 2ND!Registration will begin at 6pm until 8pm at Gander Mountain/Rivercity Marketplace. There are still spots available for most of the age groups. Please plan to attend if you have a child that wants to play this fall! Sign-ups will be for returning and NEW Cheerleaders and Football Players.Please remember that all registration monies are due by June 30th! Please use the registration dates to pay your balances. Checks and Credit/Debit Cards will be accepted. Please see the Registration tab for further information on the registration cost.Still Looking for Cheer and Football Coaches! If you are interested in coaching for the 2011 Fall Season, please send an email request to volunteer_oceanwaysports.com Pop Warner has created a NEW Division for Football players ages 11, 12, 13, and 14. This is the UNLIMITED Division with a minimum weight requirement of 105lbs. If you are a 14 year old High School Student your maximum weight is 165lbs.
