Fill-A-Jeep
We will have an empty jeep parked on the show grounds during the show that will be used for collectiong any food items that are brought to the show.
The Fill A Jeep project helps the Interfaith/Back 4 Kids food outreach program that supplies a backpack of food for weekends to children and all siblings in the house for Marion County School children. Interfaith helps supply many food pantrys around the county as well.
Examples of food items used in the backpacks are : Packets of Oatmeal, Small boxes of cereal, peanut butter crackers, Pop Tarts, Small containers of Apple Sauce, Fruit Cups, Jello, Cups of Noodles Soups, Speg-O's, Canned Tuna, Oatmeal Breakfast Bars, Granola Bars, Canned Meats, Shelf Ready Milk,
Any Non-Perisbable Food Items will be gladly accepted.
We have someone from Interfaith scheduled to come pick up all items on Sunday afternoon after the show closes. (Thank you to Jenny Goodsen for arranging that).
