Only the Sun covers Florida better than Bochner!
Over 45 years of Sales and Service!
An Introduction to a Family Tradition
"Marvin Bochner founded the firm in 1963 and remained a vital part of the business and the electrical industry for 42 years. He was a founding member of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMRA)."
In 1953, Marvin Bochner began his career opening up Consolidated Electrical Supply (known today as REXEL) in Key West, FL, gaining representative and distribution experiences in the business. In 1963, Marvin Bochner founded MBI in Miami, FL. With help from friends and his ambitious mind, Marvin was able to secure ALLIED TUBE, BRIDGEPORT FITTINGS, COLEMAN, CABLE and CONDUITS Pipe products to Fashion his own representative agency.
Throughout 30 years of MBI's Development, Bochners sons, Sid and Mark, and his daughter, Lisa, Joined their father as essential leaders to the management and sales operation. Sid and Mark eventually became partners, and in 1989, Scott Racy, a previous owner of G&R Associates, joined the company as Sales Manager.
Currently, MBI has one 68,000 square foot redistribution facility with 20,000 square foot open outside storage yard. MBIs team consists of 11 Inside Sales support team employees and 10 outside Sales employees.
MBIs relationship with contractors and inspectors has helped to distinguish themselves from the competing Representatives and Manufactures. MBI trains contractors and inspectors on the products the manufacturers sell. These regular trainings are at both the contractors locations and the distributors facilities. This informative relationship drives the demand for their products back through distribution rather than selling based on cost.
The companys attention to detail has gained MBI credibility over the years. MBI is dedicated to performing beyond their customers and manufacturers goals and expectations. They pride themselves on their customer service because their salesmen understand what the distributors and contractors really need to efficiently, profitably and safely complete their jobs.
