Reina Almon, Miss Yakima County 2012

Reina Almon is a 20 year old sophomore at Eastern Washington University in Spokane, WA. A Yakima girl by heart, Reina has been working closely with the Children's Village Hospital and has become an advocate for our local CMNH. One way she supports the Children's Village is through the profits of her online business called R. Couture. R. Couture is her collection of handmade, unique and stylish hair acessories. You can look at some of her products by visiting the link above. Reina also is the founder of the Mr. Gonzaga pageant, modeled after the Mr. West Valley pageant where she raised over $50,000 for Children's Village. She has high hopes that Mr. Gonzaga, her new "boys pageant" will be a sucess this year. In her spare time Reina enjoys crafting, hiking, cooking, eating her cooking, eating other people's cooking, blogging and spending time with her family and friends. Tamara Allard, Miss Yakima County's Outstanding Teen 2012

Tamara Allard is a 16 year old student at East Valley online learning. Tamara has been homeschooled for 5 years now and loves it. Her favorite subject is English as she enjoys reading and writing, she has even begun construction on a novel of her own. One day Tamara hopes to attend the University of Washington and achieve a master’s degree in psychology. Alongside her duties as Miss Yakima County’s Outstanding Teen she is a Level 9 competitive gymnast and has been competing for nearly 7 years now. Her passion for gymnastics and a healthier lifestyle lead her to support her platform preventing childhood obesity. Recently she has attended several walks in support of various charities. “What better way to get moving then through charity events, it benefits your body and your community?” says Tamara. In the future she hopes to arrange a “Zumba-thon” to raise money for Children’s Village and Children’s Miracle Network. She is also very excited to represent Yakima County at the Miss Washington’s Outstanding teen Pageant next June.Visit Tamara's blog at http://mycot-tamara.blogspot.com/

So how do I get started??? Read all the information on this page.Start with the Welcome Letter as it has all the information you need as far as qualifications to compete, wardrobe needs, and practice info. In 2012, we have a new incentive! Every contestant who brings another contestant in her or another age division will receive a cash award! Both of you must continue through all phases of competition in order to qualify!
