Hakama/Obi
Our tailored hakamas are available in both traditional and modern styles, including men's and women's designs (note: gender-specific hakamas are not recommended for all martial arts). Please see your instructor/sensei prior to requesting any additions to your hakama that may not be acceptable in your dojo. Currently, we are only making navy blue or black hakamas, but specialty hakamas (ie striped or another color) are available by request.
Starting Hakama cost: $120
In addition, we repair damaged or old hakamas for a reduced fee. Cost will vary, depending on the severity of the repair and the fabric involved. Be aware that some rips and tears (ie worn holes around the knees) are beyond repair.
Starting Hakama repair: $40
Our custom obi are excellent for those who find that conventional obi sizes may be a little too big/small for them. They also make a wonderful gift for someone who has recently achieved a new rank, such as shodan. Emboidery in both English and Japanese available.
Starting obi cost: $30

In a variety of weather and climates, a haori is an ideal addition for any uniform, particularly for formal occasions. Price will vary widely, depending on the kind of fabric requested and, in the case of the kimono, the desired length. Please remember that the sleeve length and whether the sleeves are open or close will vary by gender, age, and marital status unless otherwise specified.
