One of the most frequently asked questions from parents is "What Bible should I buy for my child?". This is an excellent question and an important decision! There are a wide variety of children's Bibles on the market, the one we start our Wee College students off with is the Kids’ Quest Bible . This Bible answers over 500 questions children 6-9 ask about the Bible, about their world, and about God. It speaks their language and answers their questions in a way they can understand. You can order this Bible from amazon.com, christianbook.com or purchase it at your local Christian bookstore. Encourage your children to mark up their Bibles, highlight their favorite verses, a used Bible is a sign of child seeking to learn more about their faith!

We believe that learning should be fun, interactive and exciting. RidgeKids is created to be the place where kids want to be, full of great activities, great music and interactive Bible Lessons that are relevant to children today. We want children to learn, relate and look forward to coming back each week.
Qualifications:
Our staff and coordinators of our programs have training specificially related to working with families and children varying from early childhood educators to licensed teachers to licensed social workers. All of our volunteers have gone through an application process which includes a criminal record check. All of these people love children and Jesus Christ.

What will Children Learn at Church?
• In the Nursery years, it is important that the children hear that God loves them and learning about Him is fun.
• In the Preschool years, it is important that the children learn that the Bible tells us how to live. In the Bible are stories about people that followed God, we can learn how to live from their successes and failures.
• In the Elementary years, it is important that the children learn how to use their Bibles – it is a library, with different sections. It is helpful to memorize scripture. As they learn the stories, they will learn how that story applies to their life today.
• In the Middle years, it is important that the children learn the Bible is True and reliable. They will learn how to apply the teachings of the Word in everyday life. Continued Scripture memory is encouraged.
“Family Devotionals are like Snowflakes”, the title of a blog read… and I love that! No two families are going to “do devotionals” in the same way. For some families, perhaps sitting around after dinner with the Bible and discussing the Word may be a productive time. For other families this formula often devolves into fights, a parent hissing “Sit still!”, and a child complaining, “This is boring!”
The following family devotionals do not come from an expert who has perfected the art of the family devotion time, but from those who are seeking to encourage others in living God’s ways as well as speaking God’s truth in family. If we have any formula to follow, it can be found in these 3 words: prepare, pray and proceed.
