Support Hawks Cheerleading
The Hawks Cheerleading team is a dedicated group of young athletes who work very hard at acheiving greatness and recognition for New Paltz and the sport of cheerleading.
Unforunately, as the economy worsens, club-sports on campus are affected. SUNY New Paltz Hawk Cheerleaders are suffering from school-funded budget cuts. In order to continue cheering and performing safely, the cheerleading team must raise enough money to make up for the difference.

SUNY New Paltz Hawks Cheerleading

To whom it may concern,
The SUNY New Paltz Cheerleading Team is a student-run club-sport with high ambitions. In addition to cheering and promoting school spirit on campus, this group of dedicated young women also compete in National Cheerleading Competitions throughout the region. As a club-sport, the Hawks Cheerleading team does not qualify for college sports-funds. We are in desperate need of financial assistance in order to continue bringing spirit and pride to our school.
In the past two years, the New Paltz Cheerleading has strived for excellence. As a team, we have increased our difficulty level and received more recognition from the school and fans for our hard work. We have also dedicated our time and efforts volunteering to coach the New Paltz Elementary and Public School Cheerleading teams to encourage school spirit and support throughout the area. Due to budget cuts the cheerleading team is not receiving the funds necessary to ensure our safety nor provide us with the same privileges of representing our school at National competitions in the upcoming 2010-2011 school year.
In total, the cheerleading team must raise a total of $25,000. With a donation of $1,000 or more, your business name will be prominently placed on the back of a SUNY New Paltz Cheerleading shirt to be worn by all team members. In addition, our team will show their appreciation by featuring your business in our Cheerleading Newsletter to be handed out to our fans and crowds at sporting events! With a donation of $5,000 or more, your business name will also be displayed on a banner to be hung in our gymnasium, publicizing your support for our sports teams to our fans!
Your contributions will help the 2010-2011 SUNY New Paltz Cheerleading Team buy NCAA regulated- safety mats which will ensure the teams safety from injuries as our routines become increasingly challenging and therefore dangerous. Also, any money you graciously donate will help to fund the cheerleading team in reaching their goal of competing at NCA Nationals in Daytona, Florida!
