About me
I was born in 1985 in Taipei, Taiwan. Although my parents were both English teachers from the Midwest, they decided to put me in the Chinese school system to enable me to have the advantage of not just being able to speak Chinese and English fluently, but to experience and understand these two cultures. We moved to the U.S. when I was in high school, so I also experienced two very different educational systems.
Ever since I was a kid, I remember drawing with crayons or pencils. Growing up I experimented with as many different visual media as I could get my hands on, from water colors, acrylics, and oils, to digital and film photography, to art metal wielding. It wasn’t until enrolling in the graphic design program at Madison Area Technical College that I realized the opportunity to use what had I learned in a whole new way.
