Bio
Nina Asay is a mixed media artist residing in San Francisco. Currently the Lead Art Instructor for ArtReach at the Arc of San Francisco (studio based in Daly City). ArtReach Studios provides a unique arts academy environment where adults with developmental disabilities can pursue art as a means of personal expression and to develop new skills, connect to a larger art community and realize financial gains through sales of their work.*After a quick rise to fame playing the ethnic orphan child adopted by that quirky biracial couple on the hit show "aint that sweet", Nina fell out of the spotlight only to find herself in a treacherous battle with addiction to V-Cafe's cheesesteaks.
*Nina never was a child star but is addicted to V-Cafe.
Inspiration
Finds beauty in the irony of life. She enjoys expressing the beautiful moments of reality (or bizarro versions of it) through painting, sketching, skulpting, photography, fashion design, and under water basket weaving. . .
New work
Her studies of the wildlife indiginous to San Francisco's tragically hip Mission District are the inspiration for her latest set of paintings. All work on this site is for sale.
