Evolution, open minded in composition, spatial development and melodic originality are some characteristics of the music produced by the Colombian pianist, Rafael Madagascar. He has managed to expand his knowledge in the field of Latin music, traditional folklore of his country, traditional jazz, Avant Garde and has recently strengthened venturing into the world of flamenco and urban sounds, such as rap and funk. His new project "Fields Quartet" founded with the guitarist Nico Sánchez, represents the evolution in the search of an authentic identity. The rhythm section is formed by Gonzalo del Val, one of most sought drummers in the today Spanish jazz and Paco Weht, an excellent Argentinean bass, who complements this solid rhythm section. "In this group is vital the communication between its members.The energy, the simplicity and the space are also an essential part of this project."
