We always wanted a good designed web-site for our business that will represent us as designers.
Since the costs we checked for creating a well designed site were high, we decided to dedicate the time to look for an easy tool to create a representative page and to put our wishes to have a designed website to another time.
Searching around lead us to the Wix site and we were amazed by the potential to create a website ourselves just like we wished from the beginning.
We have to say that we didn't have any clue about web design but with the easy to use platform of Wix we got it right away! We drew out some sketches add some planing and created the web in few days.
So something that could cost us thousand of $$$ and a lot of misunderstandings with the web designer (They never understand what you want....(-; ) cost us nothing else than to say Thank you Wix for a wonderful platform .

Due to the geographical expanse of our customers the only way to advertise is via the web.

I came across WIX.com simply by continued searching on the internet, using as many varied searchword combinations as I could create. Believe me, I scanned through a LOT of web-builder sites in my fervent search process.
Three things IMMEDIATELY impressed me about WIX.com:
1.) The smooth, attractive, versatile tools and special effects which are available. It's as if the designers of your system could read my mind!
2.) The easy, logical procedures which enable a website novice like myself, to create an attractive website which I can instantly be proud of,
3.) The fact that II can COMPLETELY avoid any need to learn HTML CODE !!!!!
By helping me to instantly design, create, and publish my website, you have quadrupled the personal confidence that I have in understanding what can otherwise be a tremendously complicated and time consuming process.
Armed with this confidence, I have now obtained my own easy-to- remember and unique-for-life personal domain URL. In addition, your simple, clear instructions enabled me to connect with the Google Analytics program, where I can now recognize and monitor visitor traffic to my site. I wanted to take some time and let you know that your website builder is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!
I started as the Executive Director of The Texas Zoo, located in Victoria, Texas, about 3 months ago. The very first thing that I wanted to do was re-create the Zoo’s website and update it to 2009. (Up until this time it had not been updated in 5 years!)
I had created websites in the past but it had been about 5 years. I looked up several different website builder sites and all paled in comparison to what you all offered.
Since launching the new site over 2 months ago, we have had so many people in the community comment on how easy it is to navigate and love the content that I put on it. Why is having a website important in your industry sector?
It is very important for me being a freelance graphic artist that specializes in print, in this way I am able to create a nice site which let's me design it the way I like it and with no complications.
Do you feel it allows you to compete better/stand out?
Of course, I was able to complete my website in a couple hours and then just concentrate on getting it out there.
I was looking for a fast way to build a web presence and just luckily ran into it in my searches.
That's not only easy but very eye pleasing and fun to use!

Blood Assurance is a non-profit regional blood center headquartered in Chattanooga, TN. We are the only provider of blood products for 47 area healthcare facilities in 31 counties throughout Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee.
We need approximately 400 blood donors each day to meet the needs of these hospitals and healthcare facilities. We rely exclusively on volunteer, non-paid blood donors.
Our website was created for Bloodanooga, the largest one-day community blood drive ever held in Chattanooga. Across the country, regional blood centers strive to maintain approximately a two-day blood supply. We want to celebrate the act of giving blood and help members of the community realizes the positive impact of giving blood.
With our Wix website, we can drive potential donors and volunteers to our site and provide access to our online appointment feature, without bogging down our organization’s main site. It also helps us achieve more name recognition for our event and is very cost-efficient, which is a crucial aspect in the non-profit industry. It does allow us to stand out by providing one single point of reference for anyone interested in participating in our event.
I have used Wix personally and knew it was very user-friendly. I heard about Wix through a search engine.
Again, it is extremely user friendly and allows the users to give their site a professional and unique look. The customization options are unbelievable and the possibilities of what you can do with a Wix site are endless.
Updates can be made to the website very easily, which is another reason why we chose to use Wix. Wix is also search-engine friendly so anyone who “Googles” the word Bloodanooga will find our site, which is crucial when dealing with word of mouth advertising. We have also included the url on all of our marketing materials, which allows people to go directly to our site instead of referring them to Blood Assurance’s site only to click on an additional link.
I have been extremely impressed with the Wix features and we are grateful for the opportunity to promote our event in a cost-efficient manner. The templates were also very helpful and allowed us to customize the colors and features to fit our specific needs.

How long have you been using Wix?
Since the beginning of September 2008.
How did you find out about us?
I was initially searching on Google for flash layouts for MySpace.
Had you tried other web-building applications/used a web designer in the past?
Yes. I used a company called MrSite, who offer a ’take-away website’. When I created my new website using Wix, I had to phone MrSite’s offices to sort out DNS issues etc. As soon as the girl I was talking to got my new website up on screen, she said, ’Wow! Cool site.’
Tell us how you decided to use Wix, and what were the product features that appealed to you and your business?
Almost immediately, I found the templates for displaying artwork, which I then used. What I found amazing, was that they looked exactly the way I would have designed them myself, if I had had the technical skills to do so. I think that’s one of the reasons my site works so well; the artwork I have added has found the perfect environment to be displayed in. It’s like creating a painting and then finding that someone not only has the ideal frame to display it in, but that they also provide a fantastic gallery (in this case, online) with a potential audience of millions.
Have you found that Wix has allowed you to enhance your marketing/web presence?
Yes, definitely. Although I was able to display my work via my previous website, I always found it incredibly frustrating that there was so much that I could not do given the severe limitations of the templates etc on offer.
Can you point to any business growth/matrix that can be attributed to your use of Wix?
It’s still early days, but I have already sold some of my prints to customers in the USA and the feedback I am getting from the new site is fantastic. *Here’s a quote from someone I sent a link to: ‘ It looks amazing. I’m really impressed, no, REALLY impressed!’
Why is having a website through Wix important in your industry sector? Do you feel it allows you to compete better/stand out?
I would say that unless you’re a Flash design genius in your own right, then having a website through Wix is essential if you are involved in design or the visual arts in any form. It may well be the case, as it is with myself, that although you have the creative skills that allow you to be the artist/photographer/designer that you are, you may not have the technical knowledge, (Flash codes, HTML etc.) that you need in order to create a stunning website from scratch. Wix provides a fantastic toolbox which enables you to create the kind of website that you could only have dreamt about having previously. The kind of website that you would have had to pay a fortune to have someone else design for you. The really cool thing about Wix though, is that not only do they have the technical know-how, but their designs are really cutting-edge and stunning. If their technical guys are geeks, then they’re not the archetypal geeks in anoraks, these are geeks who wear Prada.
Would you recommend Wix to other small businesses in your industry?
Definitely. In fact I already have, (a local delicatessen has already set-up a website using Wix on my recommendation), and I will continue to do so.

I use my website like a complete visit card. Of course it helps to arrange backgrounds, services and spirit. From my point of view, it is an efficient & quick way for keeping in mind the most important. It’s also key to have such a tool because more & more people are nowadays connected to the web and are also ready to look for information thanks to it.
I found WIX on a French magazine “Courrier Cadres”. Very accessible, free and easy to use were the main positive points mentioned in their article.
Various examples provide the good frame according to the kind of activity you have. Then, frame, tools & possibilities which exist are convenient & efficient. (Not in 5’ as mentioned but quick anyway..!)
I don’t think traffic is significant now but again, I use my website more like a shop for giving details of services & for which I have to give the address.
I was also pleased to get quick & appropriate answers from WIX people when I got some difficulties to work with the site.
