Group Therapy website
About a month or so ago I began working with Group Therapy, a local non-profit organization that raises money for childrens charities through various art related projects.
The group is made up of artists from the tattoo community who work together to not only showcase the talent of the artists involved, but to give back to the community through its charitable efforts.
This started out as a single project called Stack the Deck, which was coordinated by RaShelle Roberts and Justin McCroy (of Bad Apple Tattoo Company).
The project involved creating a deck of cards using 27 tattoo artists from Las Vegas, and then selling the decks to raise money for the charities involved.
The Stack the Deck project soon became a larger effort to explore the idea of tattoo artists who can show off their skills and at the same time contribute to the needs and highlight the importance of providing help to the underserved children of our community.
That goal, along with the great people who are a part of this, is why I jumped at the chance to work with Group Therapy in whatever way I could be of use.
So for this months issue I interviewed co-founder RaShelle Roberts.
