Our History
Nefritti Models started off with slow beginnings. Created from a dream and turned into reality by Hotie Lane and Moonrise Comet Nefritti slowly built itself into an agency with a reputation for perfection both in the beauty of their models and their work as well. Hotie Lane deciding running the company was not for her handed over her half of the company to her sister and Fashion Coordinator of Nefritti Aqualyne Kohime.
From the moment Aqualyne and Moonrise began to work together Nefritti started to undergo major changes. It became in contract with a top premier magazine publishing company "Lipstick Publishing" and Nefritti held hands and Nefritti launched off into becoming one of SL's top fashion agencies without losing the small hometown feel.
Moonrise eventually stepped down as management and took over the magazine contracts and production part of the company and Aqualyne took over management. This lasted for a little while longer until it seemed Nefritti was slipping into the background once again.
It was at this time that Moonrise decided to fully step down, and since her Sister Aqualyne and their photographer Krasa Slade had been the ones to keep the agency going she gave her percentage to Krasa Slade and now she and Aqualyne own the company outright.
Now after several fashion shows and various issues of magazines by Lipstick Publishing, and having such top designers attached to the company like Vindi Vindaloo, Morrigan Denimore (of The Black Canary) and so many more Nefritti Models is ready for the forefront once again, determined to show they come in beauty and with force to take the modeling world in Second Life by storm.

Q. How can hiring Nefritti Models help me sell my products as a virtual designer?
A. You could market your products yourself, I will not say you can't and lie to you. You could design your ads, come up with your branding, run your own promotions, and so on. But by hiring an outside fashion agency to take care of some (or all) of these things, you are getting experienced team that knows what works, as well as taking the pressure off you yourself. Designers often complain that they hardly have time to do all their advertising, branding, ads, etc on their own and still come out with a number of designs in a timely fashion. You also have more time to work on products and come up with new ones.
Q. How much would a fashion show cost me?
A. There is no set pricing for Fashion Shows. Each designer is different. Upon becoming a Nefritti Models Designer you immediately get to be a part of a number of fashion shows held by the company throughout the year if you so desire. If you want a personal one it all depends on how you want it to look and how much YOU want to spend. We are here to work for you, and it is all a matter of making sure we offer quality service while making our prices flexible.
Q. I am a new designer and I don't have a lot of L$ to start. Can you still help me?
A. Yes! We don't make our services all that expensive for the sheer reason that we want to help beginning designers. We also do a number of fashion shows through the fashion year which as a Nefritti Designer you automatically get to be a part of.. Some are for charity events while others are for seasons. Be sure to check the calendar in order to find out more information. As for personal fashion shows again... it's up to you how much you spend.

Q. I want to model with Nefritti, how can I apply?
A. You can apply in person at the Nefritti Headquarters in Ironworks Mall. You can also contact either Aqualyne Kohime or Krasa Slade in order to find out more information about joining Nefritti. You can also use the "Contact Us" button on our webpage in order to send an email formally asking for an application.
Q. Should I join an exclusive model agency in Second Life?
A. Modeling in SL is a lot harder without a modeling agency than it is with one. Fashion shows and shoots happen, but there are many aspiring models in the virtual world and not a huge amount of well-paid work. We suggest joining as many agencies as possible to get the most work you can as a model. It's not a conflict of interest for Nefritti if you join more than one agency.
Q. Should I pay for model training in Second Life?
A. This is a personal decision. Like First Life, some models go through a school and find the experience rewarding and helpful to their career. Others found it better to learn on their own. You are not required to pay for any training to be a Nefritti Model, however, we do offer a Modeling School to our models. Whether or not they think the cost of the school is worth it is up to them, but everything learned in it can be very beneficial.
Q. Do I have what it takes to be a model?
A. Everyone in Second Life has the ability to be a model. Our Fashion Coordinators have the ability to help you find your best look and help you make your skills better in order to be the best model you can. All it takes is a little patience, work, and lots and lots of trial and error.

Services For Everyone
We at Nefritti understand that not everyone has a desire to be a Model, and that's fine. We still offer services for everyone else in SL.
Nefritti Models Photographer Krasa Slade also does profile photos for non-models in Second Life. She seeks to give you something pretty to show off in your profile. No matter your look, profession, or desire Krasa can make your profile photo stand out.

Nefritti Models offers an array of Fashion Consultations for our models, students, and just the average everyday individuals. Our own personal Fashion Coordinator/Consultant Aqualyne Kohime personally sits down with each client to put together a perfect look for them from everything they describe is their desires. Known for taking people from Drab to Fab Aqualyne’'s professional touch can make you red carpet ready, model ready, or business ready to make your Second Life the very thing you want it to be. Things Included In Make Over Package:
Consultation- A meet and greet with Aqualyne Kohime allowing her to go over your look write down anything she sees can be improved, then going over things you yourself want improved, and what overall look you’re going for.
Shopping- Within this point you have decided what you want and Aqualyne has gone and put together several places for you to shop around and check out. She will accompany you during this time and she will be with you to help you with any indecision and anything else you need help for. This includes Skin, Shape tweaking, color matching, hair and accessories, lashes, overall makeup choices etc.
Sizing- Yes if needed Aqualyne will help you to size if needed.
Price for Consultation: 1000L$ Per Hour.
