Naomi Young (Born 1st Feb 1985) is a British singer-songwriter of the contemporary music genre. Drummer, Guitarist, Vocalist, and Producer.
Graduated at London College of Music and Media, Btec National Diploma Colchester Institute of Music & Performing Arts.
Naomi's first single Addicted, was released in the UK, October 2010, and is now available online to buy from Itunes and Amazon. Featuring AJ Lewis vocals. She released her next single The Fire in January 2011, this time featuring her own vocals. In August 2011 her third release Your Love was released, this time displaying her interest in Dance music, she plans on releasing a second single featuring vocalist AJ Lewis in the near future.
Naomi is currently working on a new album, joining forces with electro/dubstep DJ/Producer Alban (see http://www.reverbnation.com/albantronic), creating a combination of Dance/Dubstep/Pop...the plan is to carry a new sound to the stage featuring Naomi on Vocals, drawing inspiration from solo artist Katy B, but with a new original twist.
Naomi has written many songs for other artists. She is best known for her writing for solo artist Fiona Culley songs; Dreamer (written by Naomi back in 2001), Four leaf clover (2009), Despise you (2010), Sweet as you think (2009),
and their collaborations; The Storm, Devil in Disguise, Under attack (written by Naomi and Fiona 2010)
Although she has diverse interests in Jazz, Soul, Funk, R&B, and Classical music, Popular song writing is her main focus. Inspired by great artists such as Jill Scott, Kelly Clarkson, Sara Bareilles, Jo Jo, Jazmine Sullivan and many more. Some of her favourite songwriters include Diane Warren, Kara Dioguardi, Chantal Kreviazuk.
