MY Sisters Success of North Carolina, Inc.
The globalization of our economy and the outsourcing of jobs since the late 1990’s has heavily impacted the way job seekers view their value and marketability. Women are left to apply for the few published jobs that exist, often times competing with hundreds of other more qualified and more experienced applicants. A successful job search today hinges on quality real time business intelligence, recognizing your value, being able to sell it well, and getting your information and qualifications through the never ending pile of resumes and applications to the decision makers whose company will benefit by adding your value to their businesses. This is often difficult to accomplish on your own. That is where My Sisters Success of North Carolina Inc. steps in.
Who are we:
We are a non-profit, 501(c) (3) organization that assists referred low-income and/or disadvantaged women and men with proper attire, appearance aid, and selected training, empowering and preparing them to go out and compete in today’s workforce.
How do we serve:
We provide our clients with quality clothing, cosmetology assistance, and hair styling, through donations from our local community and surrounding areas. We also provide workshops and seminars that develop the components necessary for competing and surviving in the ever changing corporate and work environment.
Who refers our clients:
Diverse agencies such as homeless shelters, job training programs, domestic violence shelters, churches, and other related organizations.
From my heart to yours,
My name is Carolyn D Johnson. I am the CEO and founder of My Sisters Success of North Carolina, Inc. Approximately 10 years ago, I had a vision that I knew I had to fulfill. Coming into myself as a woman, a mother, a sister and a daughter, I knew I was not born to just exist, but to pursue life changing goals by helping others recognize their value and not only reach, but exceed their own goals; making a difference in the world. This is how My Sisters Success of N.C. was born.
Due to the current state of the U.S. economy, there has been an increased need for the services we provide. The impact of job loss, home foreclosures, and unemployment has devastated our communities, and has made the American dream become unobtainable for most. We are dedicated to helping the people in our communities reach and exceed their goals. There is still hope, and we are committed to reaching out to everyone that needs our services.
With that being said, we are proud to announce the expansion our services to the Charlotte, N.C. and Atlanta, GA mid Atlantic Region. With your continued support, we all can live the impossible dream. Join us in being a part of the solution in empowering low income and/or disadvantaged women in our communities. Remember, we are our sisters (and brothers) keepers.
Sincerely,
CEO/Founder- Carolyn D. Johnson, MBA
