Mysore Hatha Yoga Kendra (MHYK) is a Yoga abyasa Shala situated in Laxmipuram, Mysore. India
Here the students can experience the various Hatha Yoga Traditions
MHYK offer range of classes from the age limit from 15 to 65 in different batches
The studio is named on the place where it is located (Mysore) , the style of practicing yoga (Hatha Yoga) , & the center place for the practice ( Kendra)
Teachers
Praveen was born in Mysore. He finished Diploma in Mechanical Engg. And working in a factory for 8 Years. During his factory life only he started learning yoga. And later he was appointed as a SAP PP Consultant in a software company
He was suffering from Cold, Spondlites from 6 years due to stress and strain in his work & personal life . Once he went to his sister house she told to do some neck exercise which she had learnt from Yoga Therapy exercises afterwards he started doing neck exercises
The Journey of Yoga begin
Asha told that to join to some Yoga School and do it daily with instructor
Later he heard that near his house Ajay named Astanga Yoga Teacher Teaching yoga
Mr. Prabakar introduce to Ajay,
He joined to Ajays Shala and He went with cotton matt it was slipping while doing Surya Namaskar and other asanas Ajay gave him new rubber mat which gave him inspiration to do practice daily & punctually He was the first teacher
Later during the holidays of Ajays shala he joined to other shala who was teaching in Mysore University with Mr. Jai Kumar he went there for 2 Months.
The Journey continued like that only he continued with other local Instructors & attended to some competitions.
Then his practice was not continues. So to deepen the practice he herd that Bharath Shetty was a good teacher he has gained the knowledge from different institutions
So he went and practicing with Bharath Shetty, He then once called and told to take class in Yoga Bharath, It was the turning point all these days he was concentrating only on his practice but now he started learning to teach different types of people at different levels he was impressed and later he joined to Advance Course Level 1 in Yoga India.
Later he has build his own Practicing Shala with the Blessings of his Mother, Sister & Gurus

For students new to yoga or those looking for a gentle class to reduce tension. Learn breath and body awareness, optimal posture and body mechanics. Focus on correct positioning of 54 basic yoga postures to strengthen lower back, abdominal muscles, legs and upper body.
It is a foundation course consists of Basic Asanas and Pranayama Relaxation Technique etc. If this is done on the full time course it is 4 week course other option is 3 Month Course which consist of Practical, Theory, Test & Manual is provided
MEDITATION
Various kinds of meditation techniques are introduced, the individual is encouraged to progress to one kind of meditation which is most suitable to him or her. The kinds of meditation are:
Yoga Nidra, Cyclic Meditation, Pranic Energization Technique,
Instant Relaxation Technique,
Back Bending Course
Back Bends are heart opening and exhilarating. They help in maintaining the flexibility, strength and mobility of the spine and encourage the softening and opening of the heart center.
Yoga For Concentration
This program assists students, Atheletics & Fickle Minded People to improve there concentration & implementation of wellness strategies into your everyday life style.
Pranayama Course
Relaxing the breath consciously or slowing down the breathing consciously. Various advanced techniques are used which have a great effect on the body and mind
Hatha Yoga Vinyasa
A dynamic system of practicing asana, linking breath to movement. Builds heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and concentration. The poses are coordinated with the breath and linked with a sun salutation-like sequence (Vinyasa) to build strength, endurance and mental focus. For *fit beginners through advanced* - expect a serious workout.
Yoga Therapy
This class is for people suffering from stress related health problems like Asthma, Back Pain, B.P., Diabetes, Menstrual Problems, Head Aches, Constipation, Spondlites, Migrains, Indigestion, Sciatica, Obesity, Arthrities, Carpal Tunnel etc.
Weekend Course
Yoga is required for everybody in this busy world. Who should spend at least half an hour for there body mind & sole. This Programme is designed only for Corporate People & Employees who cannot do practice all the day coming to Yoga Shalla, so we have designed the practice only on the weekend for 11/2 hour here we concentrate on the stress related problems so we have programmed four classes in a month
