Welcome to Mercy Road Church! Our passion is to come alongside people no matter where they’re at on their spiritual journey, and walk with them towards God. Mercy Road is a safe place to ask questions and seek answers about Jesus, life, and the Bible.
We simply love God, love others, and serve the world. Let us know if we can be of service to you in any way.
Hope to see you soon,
Mike Gorr
Lead Pastor
Our Current Sermon Series
Mercy Road is a church committed to the person and teachings of Jesus Christ. We believe that He was no mere man but God in the flesh. We believe His miracles and resurrection as recorded in the Bible bear this out. Jesus stated that he “did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). We humbly acknowledge that if it weren’t for Jesus, we would be lost. His life is the example that we follow. We follow Jesus in a life devoted to loving God, loving others and serving the world.

This October Mercy Road will be teaming up with the Redford Township to gather coats for young people in the area who are in need of a warm jacket this winter. Our goal is to collect 100 new or gently used coats that will then be distributed to families in need. The coat drive will continue through October, so please consider donating to this worthy cause.

Mercy Road Church is partnering with Dr. Kim Yu and Oakwood Hospital and the Moose Lodge to provide a free Health fair to the community. How to Keep Yourself Healthy: Heart, Mind and Soul will be held Saturday, March 20, from 9am-Noon at the Moose Lodge at 24601 Five Mile Rd., Redford, MI 48239
The health fair will include a complete heart risk assessment including blood pressure testing, body/mass index, glucose screening and cholesterol monitoring. Participants will learn their goal weight and receive tips on how to keep a healthy heart. All testing is free with the exception of the cholesterol test which is a fraction of the cost at a mere $4. Lab testing is kindly provided by Oakwood Healthcare system.
Dr. Kim Yu is the overseer of the health fair and was recently voted one of metro Detroit's best general family practitioners by her peers. Dr. Yu serves on the Board for the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians and also helps to lead its local chapter here in the Southeastern part of the state. Dr. Yu will be interpreting all lab results and teaching a brief seminar on overall heart health.
The health fair will also include a depression screening. Mercy Road Church will offer a free hospitality table with snacks and drinks and provide a kids corner complete with a coloring table and fun activities for kids. Information about spiritual heart health will be made available as well.
The timing of this event falls perfectly at the tail end of "Cover the Uninsured Week 2010" as promoted by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the largest philanthropy organization devoted exclusively to health and health care. It is anticipated that the health fair will be able to serve approximately 30 people per hour.
