Journalist, editor, blogger, photographer, researcher
Alexandra's first real article was interviewing Aerosmith's Steven Tyler for the Grand Forks Herald Teen Page. From there on out, she knew she wanted to be a journalist. Having written for the Teen Page for two years, she decided to go to St. Cloud State University to continue her studies in print journalism.
After studying abroad in England her sophomore year, she started writing for SCSU's student newspaper, the University Chronicle. Beginning as a copy editor/staff writer, she moved up the ranks to news editor and finally, editor in chief. While in college, she studied reporting, photography, layout, and even took an intro to TV production class. Her other passion, which she minored in, was women's studies.
Alexandra graduated Summa Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.89 and decided to freelance for a while for the St. Cloud Times. Soon, though, she landed an internship at one of her favorite magazines, Ms. She moved to the magical land of Los Angeles and spent most of her time blogging about women's rights.
Alexandra is now looking to continue in her career in nonprofit work.
