About Us
I was born and raised in Piedras Negras, Mexico. Son of Mario & Betty, missionaries in Mexico since 1962. I have 2 older sisters, Claudia and Mashyell. Claudia is married with Abner Chavez; they have 2 daughters and 1 son. Mashyell is pursing her doctorate in education. My family still resides in my hometown area.On August 1997 I moved to Minnesota to attend Crossroads College and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science. I majored in Biblical Studies & Theology and Music. In college I met my wife Vanessa. We were married on December 29, 2001. It's been 8 wonderful years of marriage. We are proud parents of 2 beautiful daughters. Aiyana is almost 3 and Adalai is 4 months old. Vanessa was born in Northwest Indiana. Parents reside in Griffith, Indiana. She has 2 sisters. Vanessa graduated in May 2005 from Argosy University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She takes care of our daughters, teaches Kindermusik and Infant Sign Language classes. Vanessa is very supportive, a gift from God.Now a new chapter begins as we knock on doors and let God guide. We are passionate for His church to be equipped as it helps people find their way back to God.www.calderonjourney.com

philosophy of worshipIn my life, worship is my response in adoration to God's amazing presence. God has revealed Himself and has taken initiative to invite me into a covenant love relationship. God's presence is powerful, constant and unmatchable. As I respond in worship, I put myself aside, acknowledging His power and giving Him the glory He deserves. Worship is also a time of self-disclosure and realization of His mighty hand and mercy in my life. It is something I must always do, encompassing every aspect of my life. As He reveals Himself, adoration (worship) is my automatic response, either in silence, confession, praise, prayer or music. Proper worship involves authenticity and obedience to God's Word, bringing God our very best, for He alone is worthy. Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God this is your spiritual worship. (Rom. 12:1) philosophy of corporate worshipWorship is multifaceted and occurs in many different settings. Corporate worship is one of those settings for all believers to join together in community. This environment often includes music. Music is simply an act of worship one among many offerings we can bring to God. As with all offerings, it needs to be authentic and excellent. God always deserves our best. As leaders we need to lead as examples in living a life in worship and creating an environment that is relevant to people and their culture. This type of setting encourages individual believers and gives strength to His church. Scriptures about worship: Act 4:36-5:11, Genesis 4:4-5, Romans 12:1, Luke 1:46-55, 1:68-71, Acts 16:25, Col 3:16, James 5:13, I Cor. 14:15, I. 14:26
